Overdraft Privilege Opt In

Your PARDA Federal Credit Union checking account has a convenient feature called PARDA Overdraft Privilege. Effective August 15, 2010 PARDA will no longer be able to provide this coverage automatically for ATM withdrawals and Debit Card transaction so you need to tell us if you want to keep it.

If you do not opt in we may not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you notify us that you want the service:
• ATM withdrawals
• One time debit card transactions (purchases at merchants or other third party authorizations)
We encourage our members to opt-in early to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience and continue to have access to your Overdraft Privilege.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY NCUA INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a ''noninterest-bearing transaction account'' are insured in full by the National Credit Union Administration through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to members under the NCUA's general share insurance rules.

The term ''noninterest-bearing transaction account'' includes a traditional share draft account on which the insured credit union pays no interest or dividend. It does not include any transaction account that may earn interest or dividends, PARDA Premier Account, Primary Shares, Share Certificates and Sub-Accounts, even if share drafts may be drawn on the account.
