Overdraft Options
To help you manage your checking account, we offer three smart options to help cover checks in the case of an overdraft. Your first option is to have money automatically transferred from your savings account. The second option is to set up an Overdraft Line of Credit Loan (available to qualified members), and the third is PARDA’s Overdraft Protection (POP). Don’t forget to ask about these helpful options when opening your account.
PARDA Overdraft Protection (POP) is now offered to members with good credit standings Therefore, should you inadvertently overdraw your account for any reason; we can at our discretion, elect to cover your overdrafts up to $500, as outlined in the Discretionary Overdraft Privilege Policy. When your checks are paid, this service will save you the embarrassment and inconvenience of a returned check as well as the fee normally charged to you by merchants for checks returned to them.
Should an overdraft occur, your account would be charged the standard NSF fee for handling each item paid by the discretionary overdraft privilege. This is the same fee that PARDA charges for checks drawn against insufficient funds and returned to the payee.
This service is offered as an additional benefit of doing business with PARDA. It is our pleasure to make this courtesy available to you as a means of expressing our appreciation for the confidence you have placed in PARDA by entrusting us with your financial relationship. Please be aware that this notice does not constitute either a written agreement of an obligation or a prearranged agreement for PARDA to pay your overdrafts and we may withdraw this privilege at any time. Payment of any overdrafts will continue to be at the discretion of PARDA .
Please refer to our Schedule list of fees for full details about the fees associated with this account.
