How do I get an upgraded debit card?
If you currently have a Parda debit card, a new debit card will automatically be sent to your mailing address that we have on file. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date with us by July 11, 2024 so you receive your upgraded debit card. You can check your contact information by using Online or Mobile Banking, stopping in to your local branch, or contacting our Member Solution Center. We need your current, most up-to-date mailing address to ensure you receive your upgraded debit card and can continue making purchases. Your current debit card will no longer work to make purchases beginning August 12, 2024. 

Should I destroy my current Parda debit card when my new debit card arrives?
No. Continue using your current Parda debit card until August 12, 2024. On August 12, 2024, you will be able to call and activate your new debit card to continue making purchases. 

Will I still have the same card number?
No. You will receive a brand-new debit card with a new debit card number. This means you will need to update weekly, monthly, annual, or other recurring debit card subscriptions with your new debit card number once you activate your debit card on August 12, 2024. Any saved debit card numbers on merchant websites will also need to be updated. Your current Parda debit card will automatically become inactive on August 12, 2024. Any merchants who do not have your updated debit card information after August 12, 2024 will be unable to process your automatic payments. 

Will my PIN stay the same?
You can set your PIN to the same number as your old card or update it to a new number. When your new debit card arrives, it will include a phone number to activate your card and set your PIN. This can be done on August 12, 2024.

Do I need to update my card information with merchants for recurring payments?
Yes. You will need to update your debit card information with all merchants that automatically pull payments weekly, monthly, or annually from your debit card. Any saved card numbers on merchant websites will also need to be updated. Any merchants who do not have your updated debit card information after August 12, 2024 will be unable to process your automatic payments. 

What can I do when I receive my new debit card?
When you receive your new debit card, place it in your wallet as soon as possible. This will keep it safe and secure until August 12, 2024. On August 12, 2024, you can call the number located on the debit card (866-820-9771) to activate your new debit card and continue making purchases.

My debit card isn't set to expire this year. Can I still use it after the upgrade?
No. Even though your debit card expiration date may not say 2024, it will automatically become inactive on August 12, 2024 due to the upgrade. You will need a new debit card to continue making purchases. 

What if I don’t receive my new card?
If you haven’t received your new debit card by August 7, 2024, please reach out to a Parda representative as soon as possible.

What if I lose my new debit card?
If you lose your new debit card, please reach out to a Parda representative as soon as possible.

How long will my current Parda debit card work for?
Your current Parda debit card will automatically become inactive on August 12, 2024. Your new debit card will need to be activated on August 12, 2024 to continue making purchases.

Why are Parda’s debit cards receiving an upgrade?
We made the decision to upgrade our members’ debit cards to increase safety and security, while keeping up with the latest technological advancements. Your new card will remain a chip-card and will now include contactless tap-to-pay capabilities.

Are we going to be charged for getting a new debit card?
No. There will be no costs or fees associated with your upgraded debit card.

Will my new card still have the chip feature?
Yes. All debit cards will have the chip feature AND will now have contactless tap-to-pay capabilities.

What are contactless payment capabilities?
Contactless payment is a secure payment using RFID technology and near-field communication. To pay, you can simply just tap your debit card on the merchant’s point-of-sale terminal equipped with the technology. It’s that simple! Please note that not all merchants are equipped with contactless tap-to-pay capabilities.

What do I do during the upgrade?
To ensure a smooth upgrade, please check that we have updated contact information for you on file. Your new debit card will be mailed to the mailing address we have on file; if we have an incorrect mailing address on file, you will not receive your new debit card. Your current debit card will become inactive on August 12, 2024. To continue making purchases, you will need your new debit card.

How to Prepare for the Upgrade:

Update your contact information! To receive your new debit card, we will need to have an updated mailing address on file before July 11, 2024. An old mailing address will cause delays in getting your new debit card. It's important to note, your current debit card will not work after August 11, 2024. To continue making purchases on August 12, 2024, you will need the new debit card.

When your new debit card arrives, please keep it safe and secure until August 12, 2024. On August 12, 2024, you can use the included activation instructions to call and activate your new debit card. You will then be able to continue making purchases as normal.
How to Update Your Contact Information:

Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date before July 11, 2024.

1. Using the Parda Mobile App:

  • Navigate to the bottom left corner
  • Select your name
  • Select 'Settings'
  • Select your name again
  • Update any out-of-date information

2. Using Online Banking:

  • Navigate to the bottom left corner
  • Select your name
  • Select 'Personal Settings'
  • Update any out of date information.

3. Stop in to your local branch.

4. Contact our Member Solution Center.

Important Fraud Information:
Parda Credit Union employees will NEVER contact you and ask for your personal identifying information. This includes, but is not limited to, your debit/credit card numbers, your account number, your debit card PIN, or your social security number. If you believe you may have given out your personal identifying information, or you may have been a victim of a scam or fraud, please contact us immediately at 800.860.5640. 
Important Dates:
July 11, 2024: The date to ensure your contact information is up-to-date by. To check we have the most up-to-date information, you can use Digital Banking, stop in to your local branch, or contact our Member Solution Center. If we do not have an updated mailing address on file, you will not receive your new debit card. This will cause delays in making purchases when your current debit card becomes inactive on August 12, 2024. 

August 7, 2024: 
If you have not received your debit card by this date, please reach out to a Parda representative as soon as possible.

August 11, 2024: 
The last day your current Parda debit card will be active.

August 12, 2024:
The first day you can call and activate your new Parda debit card. Activation instructions will be included when you receive your new debit card.
